Looks like fun! I never got to go to places like that when I was in Nigeria. I did much travelling on my motorcycle. When travelling on the upper plateau I saw much of the rock formations though.
I have been trying to find on Google Earth a rock pillar I saw close to the highway between Numan and Gombe I believe. Gombe State and whatever state Numan is in now. Things have changed much in 30 years.
Anyway I was riding from Numan towards Gombe and off to my right – so either east or north of the highway as it winds a bit – there was a rock pillar about 100 meters high or so. No camera with me. Do you know of this pillar?
If it is not there then it is between Zaki Biam and Numan as I was on a long hot ride the day before along that highway.
Anyway I would appreciate it if you know of the pillar and if it has a name. Over the past few years I have been writing memoirs of my two years in Nigeria and that pillar was a moment I won’t forget. Thank you.
